Demi Moore is an American actress of Greek descent. Moore started her career with minor roles in movies and a role in the television daytime soap opera, General Hospital. Moore established her career in the early 90’s with films such as St. Elmo’s Fire , then her role in the move Ghost opposite Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg turned Moore into a superstar. In the mid 90s, Moore became one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood following her successes in A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal and Disclosure. Her films since then have mostly floundered at the box office, yet Moore remains one of the most famous actresses in the world.
Moore took her professional name from her first husband, Freddy Moore, and is the mother of three daughters from her marriage to Bruce Willis. They divorced amicably, and Moore then married the much-younger actor Ashton Kutcher in 2005.
